Lake Naivasha Resort, formerly an English Colonial Farmhouse, is now a small luxury resort on the shores of Lake Naivasha. Situated only about 45mins from Nairobi. It is one of the oldest resorts in Naivasha. Initially it was a colonial farm house with a rich history but later refurbished into a small family resort. It is along the famous Moi South lake road about 2 KM’s off of Mai Mahiu road. The drive in to the hotel is a lush garden of flowers, grass and acacia trees that exude a feeling of calm and connection to nature.
It is set on the shores of Lake Naivasha and so one can take walks to the lake or enjoy a boat ride with occasional glimpse of hippos and several bird specie
Accommodation options include Executive rooms, main house, luxurious tents and camping. All rooms can accommodate either on singles and doubles and are all furnished with a cable t.v, reading table and seats. The main house has 7 bedrooms and a common sitting area with a fire place. The tented camps are spread out in the facility and along the Lakes shore line to provide privacy and a panoramic view of the Lake. The campsite is also along the Lake with clean and safe ablution facilities. They allow for bonfires where guests can interact and catch up with the day’s events. Meals are served in the main small and intimate restaurant, in the gazebos or at the poolside. They also have a fully stocked bar and a children’s corner where swings, bouncing castles and trampolines are provided.
Facilities at the resort include a swimming pool, restaurant and bar. The restaurant serves a variety of foods, mainly continental. Lake Naivasha Resort also offers conferencing facilities for smaller groups
