This 7-day tour will take you around the best places in Tanzania, visiting sites such as Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater, while experiencing the beauty of Serena accommodations. Depending on the timing of your tour, you may get a chance to see the great annual migration as thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River.
Highlights
- Nanyuki → Forest Edge Camp (or similar). A gentle walk-in through the forest.
- Forest Edge → Burguret Camp. A tougher day trekking deeper into the wilderness, crossing streams and muddy terrain.
- Burguret Camp → Upper Burguret Camp → Road Head Camp. Ascending out of the forest into the high moorland with stunning views.
- Road Head Camp → Shiptons Camp (4,300m). A high-altitude trek across the Mackinder Valley to acclimatize.
- Summit Day! Pre-dawn ascent to Point Lenana (4,985m) for sunrise, then descend to Old Moses Camp or directly out.
- Exit to Park Gate and transfer back to Nanyuki/Nairobi.
